Outreach Services
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is situated in a rural area, where the distances to other population centres are large, and the road network is relatively poor. In response to this the Trust is now running additional acute outpatient clinics and carrying out day surgery procedures at medical centres in a community setting, closer to patients’ homes and work. Fakenham Medical Centre is one of the locations to benefit from this new service provision known as ‘outreach services’.
The Trust has developed a simple vision, to be: ‘The preferred hospital for local people’ and believes that outreach services contribute towards that vision.
The Low Vision Assessment Service is held at Fakenham Medical Practice every other week on a Friday. Read more about this service.
